These study groups are professional learning circles for early childhood educators motivated to gain deeper understanding of the emergent curriculum and the Reggio Emilia approach, engage in valuable discussions with global early childhood colleagues and generate fresh ideas that will transform their teaching practice. S.T.E.A.M. STORY CLUB @ THE TINKER YARD (4 to 8 years old)

Fostering creativity and celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics through children picture books. For 4 to 8 years old Connecting books with hands-on activities can help to enhance children's reading and also inspire them to create and explore.  Children love picture books.  What better way to introduce them to S.T.E.A.M. activities than through a good book?  At The Tinker Yard, we will select the perfect book that will be a springboard for children to delve into a world where they can tinker, build or just mess around with ideas.   Sessions will include a reading or revisit of the book, free exploration, and guided tinkering.
