Best Play Dough Recipe Ever!
Several educators that came by the Messy Play station at a recent Teacher's Day event commented that our homemade play dough was the smoothest and softest homemade play dough that they had played with and asked for the recipe.
This was how we made the play dough.
Ingredients
2 cups plain flour
2 cups water
1/3 cup salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 teaspoon Cream of Tatar
Food colouring if desired
Mix all ingredients well and cook in a pot. Remember to keep stirring until all the liquid had evaporated. You will know when the play dough is ready when it no longer sticks to the spoon.
We added fresh rosemary leaves to our play dough! Do also try adding coffee grounds, ground cinnamon, or even dried lavender!
We also made cloud dough for this event. The recipe for cloud dough calls for only two ingredients, plain flour and vegetable oil. Mix one cup of vegetable oil with seven cups of plain flour and viola, you get Cloud Dough!
