Join us for conversations on play & learning in the early years. We are hosting a series of chats on the topic of play in the early years. These cozy sessions are for parents of young children under the age of seven. The conversations will be centred around big ideas on play in the early years. Meet with our play advocates and fellow parents to learn from one another. Limited spaces available. Pre-registration with payment is required. We are working out finer details for the upcoming study tour in Tainan. This is going to be a great learning experience! We will be hosted by local professors and educators. They will take us on a tour of their school environment and share about the education landscape in Taiwan. The Learning Caravan will be sharing about early childhood education in Singapore with early childhood colleagues in Taiwan and fellow participants. Click here for more information. Our study tours were well attended by educators from Taiwan, Greece, Norway, USA, UK, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. These study groups are professional learning circles for early childhood educators motivated to gain deeper understanding of the emergent curriculum and the Reggio Emilia approach, engage in valuable discussions with global early childhood colleagues and generate fresh ideas that will transform their teaching practice. Fostering creativity and celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics through children picture books. For 4 to 8 years old Connecting books with hands-on activities can help to enhance children's reading and also inspire them to create and explore.  Children love picture books.  What better way to introduce them to S.T.E.A.M. activities than through a good book?  At The Tinker Yard, we will select the perfect book that will be a springboard for children to delve into a world where they can tinker, build or just mess around with ideas.   Sessions will include a reading or revisit of the book, free exploration, and guided tinkering.
