We are working on an improved newsletter that would contain vignettes and reflections on early childhood education, research findings, inspiring quotes and interesting continuing professional development programmes taking place around the world. The newly formatted newsletter would be launched later this month.

Each study group is kept to a very small group size of 10 participants.  We will visit Reggio-inspired early years centres, engage in dialogue with the centre hosts, participate in reflective sharing & discussions with fellow participants that may come from different parts of the world. We have had early childhood practitioners from USA, Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Norway attending past study groups.  It was truly inspiring growing professionally together as a community of learners.  Please click here to learn more about the overseas study groups.

Our study tours were well attended by educators from Taiwan, Greece, Norway, USA, UK, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. S.T.E.A.M. STORY CLUB @ THE TINKER YARD (4 to 8 years old)

Fostering creativity and celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics through children picture books. For 4 to 8 years old Connecting books with hands-on activities can help to enhance children's reading and also inspire them to create and explore.  Children love picture books.  What better way to introduce them to S.T.E.A.M. activities than through a good book?  At The Tinker Yard, we will select the perfect book that will be a springboard for children to delve into a world where they can tinker, build or just mess around with ideas.   Sessions will include a reading or revisit of the book, free exploration, and guided tinkering.
