Workshop | Introduction to Loose Parts Play

This is an interactive workshop for early childhood educators who are curious about loose parts play. Our play leader will share about the theory of loose parts play, what loose parts are, learning that happens when children engage in loose parts play, how to start a collection of loose parts and how you can manage loose parts play in the early years classroom. Please contact us to purchase a ticket to attend. Each ticket costs $50 and covers hands-on play with our diverse selection of loose parts, workshop statonery, faciltitation and our drink bar that includes water, juice, coffee & tea. Inspire | Empower | Connect We now run the reading club sessions on the first & third Saturday each month. Each reading club session will last for 1.5 hours.  The meeting venue for the reading club sessions is  The Tinker Yard, located at 261 Waterloo Street, #02-27B Waterloo Centre, Singapore 180261. These cozy sessions are for parents of young children under the age of seven. The conversations will be centred around big ideas on play in the early years. We are working out finer details for the upcoming study tour in Tainan. This is going to be a great learning experience! We will be hosted by local professors and educators. They will take us on a tour of their school environment and share about the education landscape in Taiwan. The Learning Caravan has been organizing international study tours since 2011. Our study tours were well attended by educators from Taiwan, Greece, Norway, USA, UK, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. These study groups are professional learning circles for early childhood educators motivated to gain deeper understanding of the emergent curriculum and the Reggio Emilia approach, engage in valuable discussions with global early childhood colleagues and generate fresh ideas that will transform their teaching practice. This year, we will head to Tainan, Taiwan where we will visit a public kindergarten and a private kindergarten.
